Junior Golf Program

The Junior Golf Program includes instruction at the driving range by teaching professionals and playing time at Fox Run Golf Links. Program content covers rules, etiquette, course management, and the physical aspect of hitting the ball. All classes play at Fox Run Golf Links on the last day of each session, and registration includes a golf glove and a souvenir Junior Golf t-shirt.

• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Classes meet Monday–Thursday in one-week sessions, with separate morning time slots for ages 5–8 and ages 9–14.
• Price: Age 5–8: $65 Resident / $75 Nonresident per session; Age 9–14: $125 Resident / $140 Nonresident per session

The program uses the Fox Run Driving Range, which has 55 hitting stations, a 300-yard venue, both grass tees and mats, and a sand bunker. Fox Run Golf Course offers forward tees that scale the course to fit the skill of beginning golfers. All students must have clubs, and Fox Run can arrange to have clubs available for the lesson if needed. Registration begins on March 3, 2025, and a parent or guardian must register in person at the Fox Run Clubhouse. Kids play free on Sundays after 5pm with a paid adult at Fox Run Golf Links. Fox Run Golf Links is owned and operated by the Elk Grove Park District and combines a championship 18-hole course with a redesign by architect Greg Martin in 2012 to be more challenging for better players and more forgiving and enjoyable for recreational golfers and families. The facility has a new clubhouse and golf simulators that feature over 85 courses, including multi-sport and skills challenge modes.
